How would a movie recreate the infamous Kowloon Walled City? In CGI, right? Not in the case of Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In. The new martial arts action flick by director Soi Cheang has a limited amount of computer-generated imagery. It was almost entirely filmed on a custom-built set that tried to capture the unique atmosphere of the informal high-rise settlement that existed in Kowloon City until 1993.

We caught up with Chaeng to talk about his latest film, which has turned out to be a hit, grossing more on its opening day than any other Hong Kong film in history, with steady interest since then.
